As we rev up into 2025, Civic Initiatives is proud to renew our commitment to Food Rescue US - an organization dedicated to reducing food waste and fighting food insecurity.
Last year, we pledged that a portion of every dollar from our client work would go toward this vital cause, and our leadership unanimously agreed to continue that support in the year ahead.
Food Rescue US plays a crucial role in ensuring that perfectly good food doesn’t end up in landfills but instead reaches people who need it most. Their work not only combats hunger but also reduces greenhouse gases, making an impact both socially and environmentally. Their innovative approach connects food donors, volunteers, and social service agencies to ensure food moves efficiently from surplus to sustenance.
We exposed our team to the Food Rescue mission, and created hands-on opportunities, including a substantial team event prior to the NIGP Forum 2024.
We are happy to help this great organization. Let’s keep making an impact.
